A.k.a. Peter Brill Nash Peter Lipuma Nash Peter Nash (4)
Nashville based photographer. Peter Nash, born on August 2, 1944, graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography. He operated a photography studio in Los Angeles, California, from 1978-83. His clients included fashion and editorial magazines as well as major record labels such as Warner Brothers and MCA records. With a deep love for country music and after many trips to Nashville to photograph album covers, he made the move. He set up his own studio and worked with major recording artists and national advertising agencies shooting campaigns for Frito Lay's Inc., Budweiser and The Miller Brewing Company along with freelance work for Rolling Stone, and People Magazine. After 25 years of celebrity work, Nash sought a more creative challenge. He opened another studio in Nashville specializing in portraiture. Portraits in Fur was a natural progression for him. For his 50th birthday, his wife surprised him with a 19th century oil painting of a greyhound. That gift inspired what he has focused on for the past 15 years: contemporary dog portraiture with influences of classical light and composition. Nash’s photographs are serious portraits for seriously loved dogs. Nash shares experiences of love and loss through photography and feels honored to capture the essence of a dog in his quickly fleeting life on earth.
