Peter Melville Smith (b Springfield, MA, July 6, 1898; d Cambridge, MA, July 16, 1962). American organist, harpsichordist, composer, and teacher. After graduating from Harvard College (BA 1920), he studied organ, piano, harmony, and composition as one of the first American students of Nadia Boulanger.
