Peter O'Doherty (born 23 March 1958, Auckland, New Zealand) is an New Zealand-born Australian musician. He was the bass guitarist and vocalist for new wave/pop-rock group Mental As Anything from 1977 until he left the group in 2000. Along with his older brother Reg Mombassa (real name Chris O'Doherty), he is a member of Dog Trumpet. He is also a renowned artist.
