"The background to the song is that I started playing tennis when I was 9, left school at 11 getting educated at home by my dad who was a teacher. Became former British No 1 Buster Mottram’s star pupil. Ran a tennis school to pay for my lessons. On the same day finances ran out to play tennis, I got a sponsorship deal in Germany. the deal fell through, but while I was out there I played my first solo guitar gig. Went to Greece. Ran out of money completely and sold my tennis rackets to pay for my first demo recording. Came back to England in middle of the night to avoid a tax inspection at the English school my father worked in. Signed with The Bluetones management and made two singles by my then band The Rockin Horses recording in Rockfield Studios. Also recorded an album which was never released before our lawyers bumbled the deal. Spent eight years finding a new musical direction writing many songs including Merry Christmas Everybody and finally got Peter Parker’s Rock N Roll Club together" Recorded at Portabello Studios, London 2016 Side A - Merry Christmas Everybody in A# Side AA - Merry Christmas Everybody in C# Sleeve Design and Photography - Douglas Armour Baubles by Sakura Mori Records cut by Phil Pio at 345RPM THIS IS A LIMITED EDITION OF 20 COPIES ON CLEAR LATHE CUT VINYL. THE RECORD IS NOT FOR GENERAL SALE AND WAS GIVEN TO THOSE GREAT PEOPLE WHO HELP TO MAKE TOR RECORDS WHAT IT IS.
