Information from the liner notes: "In concert form, the Chorales and Rebirth make up what amounts to an oratorio in praise of "imperitans amor", the love that orders and unites the universe." "The score for "Rites of Passage" requires an unusual orchestra - 6 cellos, 4 bases, 2 tubas, piano and three separate percussion groups." This recording features only the Continuing Choir of the Melbourne Chorale.
