"Signs and Circuits: String Quartet No. 2" performed by the Columbia String Quartet (Benjamin Hudson, Carol Zeavin, Janet Lyman, Andre Emelianoff). On "Piece for Cello, Piano, and Electronic Tape," tape realized at the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Studio. This record was made possible by a grant from the American Composers Alliance. Produced by Carter Harman Art Direction: Judith Lerner Cover by Kazuya Sakai All ACA (BMI) Electronic piece recorded by Jerry Bruck: others by David Hancock, 1978. Texts for "What Grandma Knew" and "Look, Friend, at Me" from poems by Edward Field of the same names. Text for "Echo" from the Christina Rossetti poem of that name. All three poems are reprinted on an insert sheet that came with this release.
