Phat Kicks was the very early 5Man Band around Michael Kurth (2) aka Curse (3). The Genre is "Hardcore Crossover Punk". They played a lot of very well visited concerts in youthclubs and bars in the Region of Minden / Bückeburg in the early 90´s. When members where finishing school, M. Kurth moved to USA for a while and focused more on HipHop. In 2000 he released his first soloalbum Feuerwasser which was influential waypoint to the german hiphop scene. 3 members (Julius Selbach, Philipp Joachim, Tobias Borne) formed Treadmill in 1995 with Maik Homeier from HC-Band "Updraft" on the microfone, moved to Berlin and became one of the first bands to play what was later called "Emo".
