Started in 1971 in San Francisco, sometimes working in conjunction with chief mastering engineer George Horn. Moved to Los Angeles in 1979 where worked until the mid-1990s. Note: Do not confuse with the UK engineer/producer Phill Brown and Los Angeles recording/mixing engineer Fil Brown often credited as Phil Brown.
