Owner of 3.45 Recording Production Manufacture (3.45RPM), a DIY lathe cutting business, specialising in vinyl cuts of under 100. Previous history as follows : Used the name AZIMUTH CO-ORDINATOR (1989 - 90) for early solo work, mainly involving prodigious use of DM-2 echo pedal that once belonged to Marillion's STEVE ROTHERY, and a left handed strung EKO guitar he bought from a house clearance in Milton Keynes. Recordings include the "TUFFNOTE DAFFODIL" cassette, and later on a self titled cassette on FURTHUR. Founder member of KASHMIR TWIST (1993 - ?), who were part of the much celebrated EALING HOSPITAL MUSICAL COMMUNE scene. Released three cassette tapes and a lathe cut LP (limited edition of 37) on their own DASC-U label, as well as three 7" singles on Essex label FURTHUR. Played numerous times in and around London. in 1996 he joined Techno-industrial-Groove-Rock four piece WHORE? as their drummer. Appears on debut cassette "Syndrome", and played a dozen or so ramshackle gigs in and around London, before the band decided they were more suited to studio work and a drum machine, which was fair enough. Founder member of lo-fi experimental duo SOUTHALL RIOT (1997 - 2006) with STUART THOMPSON, where he first used the name PHILMRIOT so as to differentiate himself from all the other Phil's he knew at the time. Released debut 7" INTO THE CHICAGO ABYSS as the first issue on their own VICTORY GARDEN RECORDS. Other notable acts on VG include TRENCHER, ONE MORE GRAIN, HOT CHIP and HEY COLOSSUS. Further Southall Riot releases followed in various formats and on various labels (including EARWORM, ENRAPTURED, JONSON FAMILY) and sporadic gigs included a national tour supporting ACID MOTHER TEMPLE in 2001. Founded PUT IT ON PROMOTIONS in 2003, a Brighton based music promotions business dedicated to underground sounds and less than likely bill line ups. Was a member of Air Formation from 2006 - 2008. That was fun. Released a cleverly titled solo cassette album under name of PhilMRiot on STATIC CARAVAN RECORDS (VAN 197) on 31st Dec 2009, then recorded an album in February 2010 as part of the February Album Writer's Month project. This work went onto to form the beginnings of current project I AM VOYAGER 1.
