The brothers Mnyandu performed under the name Phuzekhemisi No Khethani at the start of their short career. Their debut Maskandi (guitar-based Zulu 'Traditional' music) album, Imbizo, was extremely successful in South Africa, thanks largely to the controversial title track. Sadly, Khethani (real name Sibonele) died shortly after recording their second album in 1993. Phuzekhemisi has continued solo, to widespread acclaim.
