Pico Dorado is a video conducted spontaneous game composition for an improvising sextet. The players received 1 of 6 colors and are prompted by animated cues. The cues affect different aspects of playing such as duration, volume, tempo, timbre as well as dividing the group into solos, duos, trios, and so forth. Pico Dorado's performances are broken into 10 to 30 minute rounds. Each round features a new ensemble. This is achieved by public participation, encouraging musicians in attendance to learn the mechanics of the game.
