A.k.a. Pierre Hubertus Dassen
Pierre Hubertus (Pieke) Dassen (Rotterdam, 23 september 1926 – Maastricht, 18 april 2007) was a Dutch actor, puppeteer and art painter. Dassen initially started as an accordionist and cabaret actor. He also gained fame as puppeteer, most notably for his Poesjenellenkelder, which he took over from Jan Nelissen, where the puppet theatre was housed (around 1960), at the Dinghuis in the Kleine Staat in Maastricht. Later on Dassen worked as TV-actor, most notably as August in De Film Van Ome Willem. He died in Maastricht at the age of 80.
