Born: Pont-de-Vaux, Ain, April 24, 1633; died: Paris, May 4, 1691 He is often confused with his great-grandson, Charles-Emmanuel Borjon de Scellery (c1715–1795). He wrote some poetry set to music plus one Traité de la musette (1672, reprinted 1678), which includes examples of music collected by the author.
