French poet, editor, song-writer, translator but foremost publisher, former member of the French resistance, born 5 January 1906 in Paris, died 4 November 1987 in Créteil, France. Commander of the Légion d'honneur, Commandeur des Arts et lettres, received the Prix Apollinaire in 1959. He's buried at the Montparnasse cemetery. Founder of Poètes D'Aujourd'hui
