Pings is a fiend for the 90s ‘Golden Era’ sound coming from luminaries like DJ Premier, Pete Rock and J Dilla. This however, is not where his interests stop. Always looking out for something new, this passion has lead Pings to Djing, recording mix tapes, turntablism, production and events. Djing for the past 8 years and making music for around 4 years, Pings is a self-proclaimed ‘scratch nerd’ and it is apparent in his production style. Producing music on the Akai MPC Pings always goes for the classic hip hop sound with a fresh approach so expect plenty of hard hitting releases to come from this hip hop purist.
