Piranah hails from Nashville, TN. Thinking country? Not with these guys. Piranah is a "blue collar", no frills, in your face metal band. The band consists of: Guitarist Matt Seckinger, vocalist Darren Andrews, Thorin Milliken on bass & vocals, and most recently, Adam House on drums. Make no mistake; Piranah is a force to be reckoned with. Piranah was nominated for best metal band & best percussion in 2007, 2008 (won for best percussion) and 2010 at Nashville’s FM rock station 102.9 The Buzz (WBUZ). The band was also nominated three years running beginning in 2010 and were recently winners for best hard rock/metal band at the N.I.M.A. (Nashville Independent Music Awards) in 2011 and 2012. Going back to July of 2009, Piranah were crowned 102.9 Buzz Battle Champs for three months in a row and gaining entry into the Local Buzz Hall of Fame. In 2011 the guys were able to win round 2 (most current round) on Metalsanaz.com featuring bands from around the world. Another big win for the guys was being voted as the featured artist of the month on the 102.9 FM Local Buzz website in 2010 & again in 2012 proving that Piranah continues to gain recognition as well as dedicated fans with every action packed show they play and with each spin their music receives. Also in 2011 the guys finished in the top 15 in the National Project Independent Showcase with a near perfect score (28 of 30). In 2012 Piranah began to receive airplay for their singles: "I Am", "Counter Attack" and "One Wish" as well as other songs from their self-titled release on the "Tiffany Granath Show", "Night Call" and "The Playmate Club" at Playboy Radio on Sirius/XM Radio Channel 102. In January 2013, Piranah's former long time drummer, Chris Higgins, was interviewed on The Tiffany Granath Show in Los Angeles, CA in support of their latest CD, "Crashing Down". The band is showing tremendous growth reaching fans nationally & internationally through AM/FM radio, impressive internet radio air play and great strides in satellite radio (SiriusXM). In 2015, Piranah brought its latest album to the forefront, titled 'Set The World Ablaze', featuring brand new rockers that are brutal, yet catchy and very hard to dismiss. Plus, an increasing concert schedule along with rave reviews from heavy hitters like David Ellefson (Megadeth/F5), Rat Skates (Overkill) and hard rock/metal personality Metal Sanaz...the stage is set. Get ready for this band to break wide open! Some bands Piranah has shared the stage with include: Soil, Overkill, F5 (David Ellefson), Warbringer, Doro, Sacred Reich, Paul Di’Anno (Iron Maiden), Joey Belladonna (Anthrax) and Stuck Mojo. ^ That is the Bio on their website, on a side not Chris Higgins was the drummer 2007-2012 and did most of the work as far as shows and promotion. Also his drumming cannot be replaced and the band is now a shell of their former kick ass days.
