Band,
Formed in late 1998 by ex-Wildheart Jef Streatfield, ‘Plan A’ was formed with the passion of your first ever band. Being part of a scene wasn’t to be included in the job description, passion and sincerity was. In 2000 ‘Plan A’ were featured on a cover mounted CD in Metal Hammer using one of the first songs the band ever recorded with a previous drummer. Having also gained a number of favourable reviews in various magazines throughout Europe, they set upon expanding their live audience playing with bands such asThe Yo Yo’s, Grand Theft Audio,Reel Big Fish and Mika Bomb and as many other young bands as possible. In 2001 they self released a 4 track EP Hey Ho!, produced by Paul Tippler (Idlewild / Stereolab), and a long form video tour diary In Black and White filmed by Danny Sheldon on tour with Grand Theft Audio. This was also packaged with a free 7” inch white vinyl, the first studio recording with live sound engineer Waynne. These were, sold at shows and selected independent record shops both in the UK and Japan, earning the band a steady fan base. In late 2002, they were reduced to a three piece. They then recorded a new EP in 2004 (produced by Waynne Smart), written too many songs for an enormadome tour and honed down the old live set to a frantic mayhem of Punked-up Rock ‘n’ Roll.
