Dance Orchestra of Belgrade Radio and Television was founded in 1948 as Plesni Orkestar Radio Beograda (Dance Orchestra of Belgrade Radio) by members of "Dinamo" jazz orchestra. It changed its name in 1958 due to foundation of RTB, and it finally became Zabavni Orkestar RTB around 1960.
