He was one of the most prominent sports journalists in Peruvian history. He successfully ventured into both the print media and radio and television. His program Ovación de Radio El Sol, founded on June 11, 1964, was a large daily audience and forced to tune in the transmission of sports events, such as Copa Libertadores, World Championships football or Olympic Games. In 1970, he received from the hands of the President of the Organizing Committee of the World Cup in Mexico 70, the trophy that was awarded Ovation for being the best foreigner in transmitting this event. He also transmitted music in his classics "Los Domingo de Ovación", "Tres en Ovación" and "Salsa en Ovación".
