Band, 2000-2015 FI
Rock
Metal/rock band from Oulu, Finland, founded in 2000 by Ville Laihiala, the former vocalist of Sentenced. Originally more of a goth metal group, fronted by vocalist Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto, Poisonblack was a musical outlet for Laihiala and the music that was not suitable for Sentenced. Leppäluoto left the group after the first album and Laihiala then took up vocal duties and the group's sound started to shift towards more traditional heavy metal/hard rock. Altogether the band released six albums between 2003-2013 before going on an indefinite hiatus in August 2015.
