Polvorosa

Band, *2000 ES, Barcelona

Daniel Puente Encina (Chile): Composer, author, vocals & guitar // Norman Jankowski (Germany): drums, percussion (2000 - 2005) // Tina "Trillian" Bartel (Germany): keys, backing vocals (2000 - 2005). After his former band "Niños Con Bombas" split up 1999 in Los Angeles, Daniel Puente Encina, singer-songwriter, guitarist, film composer, producer and actor, from Santiago de Chile, started to perform and produce under the name "Polvorosa" (together with "Trillian" and Norman) in Barcelona, Cataluña in 2000. Creating his own new style: “Latin Elektroclash”, he was soon touring with "Ojos de Brujo" and "Chambao". In 2004, Daniel released Polvorosa‘s album “Radical Car Dance”. The song "Behind de mi House" became an international dance floor hit and was included on the DVD compilation album "Los Videos Mas Espectaculares“ (The most spectacular videos) by MTV Spain. Other Polvorosa's songs such as ”El Amor se demora” or ”Not here” are included on the soundtrack of Akin's movies, such as his drama ”Short Sharp Shock” (Kurz und schmerzlos) and his Roadmovie ”In July” (Im July). In 2012, Daniel Puente Encina recorded his first album under his own name. He is also known as "Daniel Puente" o "Dani Puente". He took his place in musical history by creating a wide variety of musical projects with very different styles as the anti-fascist “Pinochet Boys” (1984–1987) from Santiago de Chile, “Niños Con Bombas” (1994–1999) from Hamburg and “Polvorosa” (2000–2011) from Barcelona.
