Postage was founded by Andrew Knackert and Endless in 1999 and consists of Andy Knackert on electric and acoustic slide guitar and Endless filling in the spaces with tape manipulation, keys, effects and percussion. They performed across south central Wisconsin, making occasional appearances at venues like Mother Fools Coffee House and Fort Atkinson's Cafe Carpe and appeared regularly at the Speed Jump Coffee House during it's weekly electronic-improv-fusion extravaganza "Glitch". The self-released cd-r 'Sconscapes'; a mix of rural psychedelia and New Age inspired concrete sound. A selection from this cd-r appeared on the Wisconsin based compilation 'Way Beyond Words'. After 'Sconscapes', an unnofficial cdr 'Live Cargo' was released as well as a track on the 'Klang Spectrum' compilation, both on the 23productions label. Two releases, (a 3"cd-r entitled "Mail-Hook" and an untitled split cassette with Drunjus) were next on Object Tapes. There was an appearance on the 'Davenport Family Box Set'. 2004 was another beautiful year and with the summer came 'The Pasture Festival and Jubilee', a two day psychedelic blow-out in Soldiers Grove Wisconsin. Postage shared the bill with some amazing bands like the Blithe Sons, Pelt, Black Forest/Black Sea, Wooden Wand and Spires That in the Sunset Rise. They all played hard under the blazing Sun and on into the night below the smiling Moon. A 2xCD compilation was released to commemorate those two mind melting days and an untitled Postage jam appears on that as well. All Postage releases have been hand made and are therefore limited.
