A.k.a. Pražské dechové kvinteto
Czech woodwind ensemble, founded 1928 by Václav Smetáček, oboist and later renowned conductor. Prague Wind Quintet is considered one of prominent contemporary wind ensemble in international context. Their recording of chamber works of Leoš Janáček aquired the prize for the best world recording of the year, Choc du Monde de la Classique 1999.
