Pres was a pseudonym used by Lester Young (born August 27, 1909, Woodville, Mississippi, USA - died March 15, 1959, New York City, New York, USA) an American jazz tenor saxophonist. He ranks together with Coleman Hawkins and Ben Webster as one of the three "great tenors" of the the swing era. Occasionally, he was known to also play the clarinet.
