Essentially, this is The Quarks under another name. The record company, Magnet, learnt that in Germany the word Quark had some link with cheese, and insisted that a new name be found. Bowkett and Ansell, somewhat ironically, chose President President; which unbeknownst to the label is linked with a brand of cheese in France. Becoming disillusioned with their label they chose to leave, and the act name was dropped. However, still under contract, they couldn't record together either. They did eventually get back together under the name 'Death By Bongo' (late-1980s), but nothing became of the project. The album was eventually released in May, 2016, under their original name.
