Album RU 2008 on Clinical Archives label
Electronic and Spoken Word (Field Recording, Drone, Ambient, Experimental, Musique Concrète)
The first album from Preslav Literary School, Autumn Bricolage is a study of sine wave, instrument solos and field recordings that paved the way for the artist's later cassette experiments. The album contains samples from Carsten Nicholai and a Rachmaninov recital and is indebted in structure to early Jim O'Rourke drone works. Originally released on Glosses fur die Masses Records (Newcastle-upon-Tyne) in 2006 as a limited edition CD-R with handmade packaging, it was re-released digitally on Clinical Archives (Moscow) in 2008 receiving over eight thousand downloads. *** "The approach of Preslav Literary School results in rich textures and a specific sound that makes his tracks unique and memorable... Enhanced with various found sounds and field-recordings, Collage Ambient is the new genre I'd like to coin for this..." Phlow Magazine "A beautiful 32 minute minimalist soundscape... simple but captivating." Ampersand Etcetera "Extreme mellowness without an ounce of cheese. This is an experimental ambient soundscape and it’s just sublime. Highly recommended." b.rox (Favourite Albums of 2008)
