Band,
Jazz and Rock
London, UK, lounge act active briefly in early/mid 1980s, often played The Pindar Of Wakefield during the cowpunk craze. Pride Of The Cross evolved from a group called Baby Lotion, with the addition of Cait O'Riordan and the encouragement of Phil Gaston, who wrote for and produced the band's only single. The band fizzled out after Cait joined The Pogues, who later also hired Pride member Daryl Hunt, first as roadie and later as Cait's replacement on bass when she quit The Pogues.
