The band was formed in 1999 by André and Daniel located near Magdeburg (former East Germany). Based on and influenced by the whole crowd of electronic music artists like Nitzer Ebb and Front 242, Proceed composes powerful synthetic music which would fit into the EBM-genre. Alongside groups such as Spetsnaz, Sturm Café, Jäger90 & Dupont, Proceed were part of the oldschool revial movement, but after their 2007 release, Schitteck has been focusing on the NordarR project.
