Project Herpes started in 2008 in Fredrikstad, Norway, as a Norwegian punk band. Originally the band started out with texts and themes with pre-pubertal humor, and trying to shock the audience with songs about poop, make-up and hard live shows. The band went through many line-up changes, and changed name to HRPS after releasing an EP with the same name. The EP was originally released as Project Herpes, but was changed when the band changed name and line-up.
