Born March 10, 1982 in Vosloorus, Gauteng, South Africa, Projektah is a hip-hop MC/poet, from a township on Johannesburg's East Rand, who rhymes in English. Also a graphic designer, he started rapping in 1994, and in 2007 made it to the Top 8 in the South African leg of Channel O's "Sprite Emcee Africa" (a continent wide freestyle competition). Contributing to the 2008, "Original Backpacker Mixtape Vol. 3" with the track "Brother, Brother", Projektah has shared the stage with the likes of Wordsworth, Ben Sharpa, Snazz D, Tumi, HHP, Proverb, Last Days Fam, Sake Of Skill and BMP.
