Prophets Of Rage was founded by Ewol in K-Town (Kaiserslautern), Germany in 1992. He later invited Yeti as a member and finally Styxx as the third rapper in 1993. They then enlisted Superjam to DJ and produce the group. They released their experimental hip hop debut album, Unite or Perish in 1994_ on Königshaus Records with Fitz Braun (manager from Die Fantastischen Vier manager) and Conny Konzack (manager from Die Ärtze ), which was composed by Superjam and produced by Superjam (Arrigo Johnny Phillips) and Marcus Ghoreshian at (Groovy Grover Studios in Frankfurt, Germany) with two tracks composed and produced by Denis Haevescher (Prophets of Rage then toured with Megavier (Die Fantastischen Vier and Megalomaniacs). In 1996, without Yeti; Ewol, Styxx and Superjam, added Cave Dave on bass, Sebo on guitar and Jules on drums . They released their second album, Zen Gravy in 1997 produced by Superjam and Rüdiger on Four Music. This time around there were features including DJ Amir of Dungeon Mastaz. The album was once again experimental hip hop, with a full fledged band backing it up. POR went on a German tour with Coolio and Die Coolen Säue to promote the album.
