Album US 2008 on Sometimes Music label
Electronic and Hip-Hop/Rap (Leftfield, Electro, Hip-Hop, Synth-pop)
The self titled debut release from Prosumer Sound System is an infectious mix of Old-School Hip-Hop and Electro, taking in it's influences from varied and wide ranging sources including library music, film soundtracks, Mantronix, 80's pop, and even a bit of Dubstep & Minimal Techno. This duo (Sam Urton on production and Julian Brooks on vocals), has a pedigree that goes back to the late 80's when they began collaborating, eventually going on to form the "alternative" hip-hop act "The Mod Squad" (Priority Records, TNT Records).
