Rock band from Lisbon, Portugal, formed in 2003. Members (2015): João Almendra (Vocals); Guilherme Santos (Guitar / Vocals); Luís Lobão (Drums); Pedro Lopes (Bass Guitar); Gonçalo Agostinho (Solo Guitar) PunkSinatra is a rock band whose roots date back to mid 2003, when João Pedro Almendra (former Peste & Sida and former Ku de Judas) joined forces with the extinct Speed ​​Cristal to create a new musical project of original songs sung in Portuguese. A year of rehearsals and the band was ready to explore the stages of underground music and its outskirts, maintaining, in the following two years, a steady agenda of shows enough to spread the name of the band in the middle of Punk / Rock. Between 2009 and 2011 they recorded the models "Ataca contra-Ataca" ("Attack counter-Attack"), "O Monstro Acordou" ("The Monster Woke Up!") And "À Socapa do Sistema" ("Unbeknownst to the System"), which would serve as a motto for the recording of his debut album "O Monstro Acordou" ("The Monster Woke Up"), with production and co-production by António Côrte-Real (UHF / Revolta) and José António Pedro, recorded at JAP studios. In this album, released in October 2013 by Ethereal Sound Works, the band joins the best songs of 10 years of stages, sweat and rock n'roll, counting with the participation of renowned names of the national music as Zé Pedro (Xutos & Pontapés), João Ribas (Tara Perdida / Censurados), Nuno Duarte (Neto / Jel) and Vasco Duarte (Falâncio), the duo that make up the Homens da Luta and also António Côrte-Real and Nuno Oliveira of UHF. In 2014, after the release of the first album and more than a year of fighting, João Pinto (Bass Guitar) and David Nolasco (Guitar) leave the band. In 2015, PunkSinatra are back after the release of their first work of originals "O Monstro Acordou", produced by António Corte Real and edited by the publisher Etheral Sounds Works, and return to concerts, renewing themselves with the entrance of Pedro Lopes, for the bass guitar and Gonçalo Agostinho on solo guitar.
