Album US 1994 on Flydaddy Records label
Rock (Indie Rock)
'Unsung, recorded in 1988, was intended to be the first full-length Pure Joy release. It was financed by a shady character. He fled town with the master tapes. He fled town with all of the money. He has never been heard from again. Fortunately, Rusty and Craig saw this coming and made copies of the tapes. Unfortunately they didn't take his money. Time passed; the tapes gathered dust, the band recorded an album that was released, Carnivore, and, eventually Pure Joy broke up sometime in 1989. People kept saying, "Gee, wouldn't it be great if those songs were finally released?" We asked Rusty if we could put them out. He said yes.' Recorded at Ironwood Studio, Nov-Dec 1987. Mixed at Steve Lawson, Dec 1987 - Jan 1988. Originally to be released in Spring of 1988.
