The QUATTROSAX saxophone quartet was founded at the beginning of 1992 by four young musicians from Ludwigshafen and Mannheim in Germany to study in particular the original saxophone quartet literature. These include u. a. Works by Singelée, Glasunov, Dubois, Bozza, Jacob, Françaix, by Koch. The debut concert was given by the ensemble in April 1993 at the Abendakademie Mannheim.
