Band, *1994 EE
A.k.a. Paavo Eensalu & Alari Orav (up to 1998)
In 1994 Quite's first homemade ambient tapes started to circulate among the in-crowd of Estonia's then tiny underground dance scene. For the majority, they still remain a mystery in 1997. But those, who love their music, know very well, why they love it. "Quite do not trouble themselves with mixing and matching some stupid, wrong-speed samples and sounds with an Amiga. They deal with substances more harmonic. It may well be the objective definition of Quite: thoroughly harmonic, even outside harmony itself," says the band's biographist DJ Vadya Lahari. He also declares: "Quite are total underground, absolutely alright in terms of self-expression and attitude."
