R.C. Boys, "Rancho Cordova Boys," were one of Sacramento, CA's first punk rock bands. Formed in December 1979, they played their first show one month later in January 1980. They broke up in early 1982. Members went on to be in lots of other bands including Square Cools, Tales of Terror, Hot Rod Shopping Cart, the Whorelords, Race Train Schizo, Pirates of Venus, Gün, St. Avalanche, and one was even the area's mightiest punk rock DJ - "the Master Bastard" - holding court at the legendary Cattle Club.
