R.U. Sirius is an American writer, musician, and cyberculture icon best known as co-founder and original Editor-In-Chief of Mondo 2000. Sirius was also chairman and candidate for The Revolution Party in the 2000 US presidential election. He created a short-lived band in the mid 1990s called Mondo Vanilli.
