REK is a band born in 98 in Guayaquil, in the midst of punk, skate, heartbreak and dreams, that same year a musical movement led by young people is unleashed which promotes music and created a new and independent music industry, with this They ventured in 2000 to take a demo of 7 songs, some of them became cult themes, it was not until 2003 with new songs heard on national radio and presented for the first time in the country's capital, the music spread and good critics were heard even internationally, representing Guayaquil in important festivals nationwide and being in frank growth they enter the studio to record additional songs that together with the previous ones are published in a compilation called 'Manual de cosas que le pueden pasar a cualquier imbecil'and soon after in 2004 they return to the studio to record the most important production of so far, entitled 'Los Losers De Hoy' of 16 songs comes out in 2005 after almost a year of working hard on it, with "Los Losers de Hoy" in the market stops the time and a few months after its release there is a farewell concert, leaving the Members with time and space for other projects, although in 2007 they recorded a song, they did not appear again until 2011, when a show was announced without details of what would happen next.
