The RTÉ Symphony Orchestra (RTÉSO) was the concert orchestra of Radio Telefís Éireann (RTÉ), the national radio and television broadcaster of the Republic of Ireland, between 1961 and 1989. Before 1961 the orchestra was known as Radio Éireann Symphony Orchestra (Irish: Ceolfhoireann Shiansach Radio Éireann). In 1989 the orchestra was renamed the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland (aka Irish National Symphony Orchestra). In 2005 it was again renamed, to RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra.
