The title of the old marine biology book that is this album's (near) namesake said everything to me about who we are. I know that "Lower Creatures" refers to invertebrates. But it reminded me that we (humans) always have to be at least a rung up the ladder from something else, even if it's a jellyfish, hah! It's a disease that leads to things like war (which happened to be going on in Iraq and Afghanistan when I wrote this album). Crazy, and unfortunately for some, fatal. credits released June 1, 2008 all songs/music by rachel taylor brown. recorded with jeff stuart saltzman who also mixed and helped in myriad ways. most instruments played by rachel w/ jeff playing the next most (instruments). mastered by jeff lipton. album art by katie taylor. please see songs for details on players.
