Latin Music Violinist and Band Leader for the one of the most popular Afro-Cuban Groups, Orquesta Aragon. "Rafaelito" as he is known in the band, is the prodigal son of the famous Rafael Lay Apesteguía, The Cuban born violinist, composer, arranger, and the previous band leader of Orquesta Aragon from 1949 ~ 1982. Rafael Lay Apesteguía tragically perished in an automobile accident in August 1982. In 1984, "Rafaelito" took over the reigns of his late departed father's ensemble and was able to become the famed band leader left vacant by his fathers early demise. Since then Orquesta Aragon has celebrated there 75th Anniversary under the supervision and leadership of with the same passion, style, finesse and wisdom that was once the cornerstone of Latin Music.
