Raggamuffin, a founder of Jungle Syndicate, started promoting jungle and Drum’n’Bass from a very young age, being involved in running several local nights and a night in Camden. In 2007 Raggamuffin started playing strictly jungle/breakcore vinyl sets and later due to a need to do more with samples, live amen mashing and just playing/mixing as many tunes as he can at the same time, adopted Ableton as his weapon of choice. Whilst listening to a Murderbot set way back when, Raggamuffin decided there was no way near enough nights catering for the ‘Amen Break/Choppage’ hungry ravers so In 2008 Raggamuffin was instrumental in starting Jungle Syndicate at its humble beginnings at the Redstar (Camberwell). Then in 2010 he started Jungle Syndicate with his fellow London crew at Rhythm Factory. Raggamuffin was also instrumental in launching Jungle Syndicate Recordings as one of two label managers. Raggamuffin has had a few releases to date outlining his passion for intricate beat patterning and the love of all things break based, from Jungle to Breakcore and to the darker side of Amen Drum’n’Bass. With the launch of Jungle Syndicate Recordings you can expect much more in the future from this JS main man.
