Band,
Singer of Rock
Rancor formed somewhere in 1995 by Michel Senden (Point Of No Return (4), Feeding The Fire, Bloodsport (7)) & Roger NBH (Point Of No Return (4), Feeding The Fire, Monotonos, etc.), starting as a duo. Soon enough they asked their close friend Pascal to join as singer. As a trio they worked on a bunch of tracks. Then Pascal had the idea to get his friend Fabrice also in the band (on bass), which lead to a problem as by then Roger was already on bass (originally also on 2nd guitar but Michel was way more technical, so switched back to bass only). Roger had the idea to try 2 bass players but that seemed too much for the others. So before the actual first show and recording at a studio Roger strangely enough decided to leave. Rancor continued as a trio with Michel on guitar/programming, Pascal on vocals & Fabrice on bass. They used a drumcomputer and synthesizer. This created an unique sound; a combination of Cleveland hardcore, metal, deadly precision drums and atmospheric sounds. Rancor debuted at the Geleen hardcore festival. After that they played serveral shows amongst that with Integrity (2) and Ringworm.
