RaNDom is an electro-dub project started by Matt.B and Ian Hartley in the winter 2003 in Tokyo.Soon in the spring 2004 they released a critically acclaimed self produced Demo "Cuts One" ,a mix of electronica and dub cuts. Following the overwhelming positve response to random's independently released e.p, "point two" in the winter 2004, RaNDom have taken a subtle shift in direction, and a blending of the elements which have made their live shows from London's Alexandra Palace to Tokyo's WOMB such a success, and which have also ensured their tracks are now regualrly played by chill out luminaries such as Nova (Ultimae Records) , and Gaudi (Interchill Records). The inclusion of tablaist Shinsuke Inoue (a long term student of the revered Kul Bhushan Bhargava) has added a new percussive drive and flexibility to the live intrumentation and digital manipulation that is random.
