Electro/Techno/Minimal producer from Barcelona, Spain. Rankun was born 1983 in Barcelona, it knows the electronic scene of his natal city. At the end of the 90’s it is when the artists musical influence and be seduced by the electronics UK, Techno Detroit, with clear influences Funk and the electro, did that Rankun was starting cashing in him to his first decks, and Thomas Brinkmann, Richie Hawtin being interested for the elegant minimal of Steve Bug, G-Man, Pantytec, And a length etc of artists with renown. Since then until 2004 it has been improving his skill with decks using also the Final Scratch platform, and reproducing in his meetings his first level amateur productions. In 2004 it begins in the production, In the same year it knows Javier Orduña, who is mas that a motivation to continue forward with his musical career. Then the project " RUBRIK Productions " is born in 2004. With several meetings in Barcelonian clubs and organizing several festivals in the scene of the electronic music in the province where it resides having as aim show, probably, a vision different from live meetings including the musical computer science by means of several platforms and sharing cabin with live's computer. This way so Rankun not only is a one more dj, also producing his influences are clear before renowned and not named, and the dynamism so much in dj sets or direct as at the moment of producing using computer sequencers and virtual synthesizers. The year 2006 is for Rankun a new stage in the electronic music, creates the Barcelonian record label, "Rubrik Records" together with Javier Orduña. A platform dedicated to publishing topics not only of artists of renown, but, giving opportunity to new talents in the current national and international electronics like Nègat's case and the same Rankun. This way so Rankun publishes his first track in the first reference of his own label, reference shared with Javier Orduña, Mark Broom y Nègat
