Kim Nam-joon (김남준; born in Seoul on September 12th, 1994) is a South Korean rapper, dancer, composer, producer & MC. He is the leader and main rapper of South Korean band BTS since 2013. Following the release of their album "LOVE YOURSELF '承' Her", Nam-joon officially announced that he was changing his stage name from "Rap Monster" to simply "RM", as he felt the old name no longer represented who he was and the music that he creates (Billboard, 2017).
