Brazilian composer and instrumentist Born 24/8/1913 - Rio de Janeiro (RJ) Died 6/9/1991 - Rio de Janeiro (RJ) From early on he began attending traditional samba circles , in the bairro da Saúde, where he was born . He was one of the founders of the Escola de Samba Unidos da Saúde in early 1930. He also went to the Escola de Samba Barão de Gamboa and later Escola Recreio de Ramosl.
