Album US on Borincano label
Latin (Salsa, Merengue, Guaguancó, Mambo, Bolero, Son)
It is my belief that the deep dedication that exists in Ray Gonzalez and other members of his orchestra, to the typical latin music, takes a great deal of credit for the already predicted success, of this, their first long-playing record. Such dedication to the typical latin music is possible to observe when we listen to selections such as "Navidad Pronto Llegara", "A Mi Borinquen" and "La Haban Vieja". El Cuatro has been included in these selections, creating an original atmosphere in the field of modern Latin Music. Ray Gonzalez, inspired by our precious heritage of latin music, past and present, has combined rhythms and melodies and other ingredients in the variety of his style, to bring us the best of his repertory.
