ReCyClor was the experimental electronic project of Frank Zen (Flesh For Frank, Minimal Frank, G & F, Psyonic Flesh, The Leper Collective, etc.) and Alexander Wheill (ARCHangel, D.F.S., Wreck Age Recordings, etc.) which began in 1997 and ended in 2017. In 1999 ReCyClor had met up enough times to have accumulated material scheduled for their first official release on Wreck Age Recordings, including a few extra morcels to be donated to various compilations. However, numerous delayed ensued which eventually resulted in the loss of all original master tapes and recordings. In 2007 to 2010 ReCyClor recorded live jam sessions on camera using any and all available noise/sound sources at their disposal. In 2009, Lx Wheill recorded material in one intense day of improvisational jam sessions in The SubSystem studio (the last time he would be present there) to be used as blueprint and raw original "canvas" material to be re-processed, added up, and re-interpreted by Frank Zen, as part of their ongoing ReCyClor project. Since 2012 they had again resurfaced on a couple of occasions to perform improvised pieces, this time more representative of their current sound, in anticipation of the release of their upcoming material. 2014 finally saw the release of "The Sinking Process", featuring recently unearthed second-generation analogue recordings of their earliest works from the late 90s, perhaps the closest to the release as originally intended. The loss of some pieces/tracks was replaced by newly discovered jam sessions and improvisations of the era, which showcased the project's original affinities with improvised live abstract noise compositions. In 2015 due to the unannounced shutting down of an online cloud-based musical service company, Lx lost the equivalent of seven full length albums worth of raw basic tracks as well as three dozen short compilation submission tracks (for both ReCyClor and Tectonic Plates material) which resulted in a major set-back of numerous planned releases and made the official creative output of the project severly limited.
